The center of gambling in the United States and the world, las vegas is commonly known as The Entertainment Capital of the World; famous for its massive and lavish casino resorts, availability of alcoholic beverages at any time (as is true throughout Nevada), and various degrees of adult entertainment. It is also referred to as Sin City, but in recent years the city itself has stopped using this moniker in its marketing. The city’s image has often made it a popular setting for films and television programs.

THE PLAZA CASINO IN DOWNTOWN LAS VEGAS

The Plaza Hotel and Casino in Downtown las vegas is housed in what used to be an Amtrak train station. It’s fairly sizable but pales by comparison to even the most modest of The Strip properties.
Still, as this video shows, it has all the amenities that any die-hard gambler could want and many people feel that places like this represent what Las Vegas was, and should be.

Let’s take US Route 466 / 93 NW to Boulder Dam & On To Las Vegas ! It has been a scenic journey, but time for some bright lights. Arriving in LV take a quick cruise down Fremont Street & see Down Town LV. The beautiful new Hotels – Dunes, Moulin Rouge, Desert Inn, Flamingo. Hot action at the pool diving boards. The New Frontier has Elvis Presley performing. Showgirls !! Gambling !! Vices !!
Broke & tired – we head out of las vegas, heading west on US 466 / 91 towards Barstow. There we pick up Route 66 west again.

Whats the best way to get the most comps/highest rating from a Las Vegas Casino if you play craps with $600?

What are the things that work to your detriment?

Does it matter if you end your weekend with winnings or a loss?

If you only play conservatively/the pass line with odds, are you worth a free hotel nights to the casino?

What other tips are out there?

When you sit down at a table and give the dealer your card they will call the pit boss. The pit boss will record how much you buy in for and how much you bet. So if you wanted to buy in for $100 give the dealer $200 and don’t use $100 of it. Next when you are making you first few bets the pitt boss will likely be watching you to see how big you bet. Make your first bet or two big, after the pit boss leaves he will likely not pay much attention so you can drop your bet down to where you like. You get comped on your bet size and how long you play for. Do all your gambling at the place your staying.

When buying meals and things always charge to your room. You will not be reimbursed for cash you spend but you can get comped some or everything charged to your room.

My last two trips were totally comped and still have more "comp dollars" to stay for another trip.

Phone the front desk when getting close to check out time and ask to speak with a casino host they can tell you where you stand in comps. If you don’t ask they will not volunteer your comps when checking out so stay informed.
